Veteran Eligibility
At this time we can only provide certificates for veterans in the State of Texas or moving to Texas. For VA Loans: VA purchase loans require a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) before obtaining financing. To get your COE, click here to download a request form (VA Form 26-1880). Complete the form by clicking in each box, then print, sign, and fax it back to us at 512-646-0801 or mail it to our office here. Include your email address in Box #5 so that we can send your certificate by email or contact you for more information. If you have the "Member 4 Copy" of your DD-214 available, please include it with your fax. Our turnaround time is usually just one business day. If you don't hear from us by then, call Chad. If you served in the Reserves or National Guard, or you used your VA home loan benefits before, we may need to gather additional information from you. For Texas Vet Housing Loans: Texas Vet Housing Assistance Program loans require a Notice of Eligibility (NOE) before obtaining financing. To obtain an NOE from the Texas Vet Land Board, complete one or all of the following: Form 42: Declaration of Eligibility = Must be completed by all applicants, but does NOT need to be notarized. This is the only form you need if your DD-214 says your HOME OF RECORD was Texas. "Place of Entry" is not the same as "Home of Record". Form 43: Affidavit of Texas Residence = Complete and get notarized if your DD-214 says your Home of Record was not Texas, or it has no Home of Record box, but you have been living in Texas for at least the past 12 months. Form 50: Home of Record Affidavit = Complete and get notarized if your DD-214 says your Home of Record was not Texas, your DD-214 has no Home of Record box, or you are still on active duty, but you were a bona fide Texas resident at the time you joined the military. Please fax or mail your completed forms to us along with the "Member 4 Copy" of all of your DD-214s. Be sure to include your email address on your cover sheet. We'll contact you within one business day to let you know we're submitted your request to the Texas Vet Land Board. Their current turnaround on Notices of Eligibility is just 2 to 3 work days. If you don't hear from us by then, call Chad. If you need further assistance, you are welcome to email Chad.
